Location: 38 Pine Street, Collingwood

Georgian Bay Cabinetry is pleased to be hosting the next After 5 on Thurs Nov 21st at 5pm.

Welcome to Georgian Bay Cabinetry - a locally owned and operated manufacturing facility, inhouse design and showroom, focusing on creating stunning, custom-made cabinetry solutions for residential or commercial spaces.  From kitchens and vanities to ski lockers and reception desks, we can do it all!  Attention to detail and customer service are our top priorities.  Nothing leaves the shop without being triple checked and inspected.  Our goal is to offer the best experience from start to finish.

Our factory boasts a fully nested CNC system and automatic edge banding units as well as a custom paint booth in-house.  We use the highest quality materials and reputable suppliers to ensure premium, durable custom cabinetry and millwork at affordable prices.

We are excited to show you what we do!

Don't forget your business card for your chance to win the draw.

We look forward to hosting you!

Collingwood Climate Action Team

Thursday, November 21, 2024 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Location: Summit Social House

Climate change is an ever-present and growing threat, yet it has become almost a taboo topic in everyday conversations. Too often, mentioning it results in uncomfortable silence or heated debate. Many of us are concerned about climate change but feel isolated and unable to discuss it openly, even with those closest to us. Conversations on this subject tend to be brief—often lasting less than 10 minutes.

It can be even more distressing when friends and family, our primary sources of support, are reluctant to engage in these discussions, sometimes leading to friction and misunderstanding.

This workshop aims to help you navigate these challenges. You will learn the concepts of content and process, practice empathic listening, and explore creative ways to respond to ambivalence and resistance. Our goal is to shift from simply sharing information to fostering deeper connections, understanding defensiveness, and building meaningful dialogue.

Workshop Features:

Small, interactive group sessions (up to 16 people)

A safe and respectful space for open conversation

Co-facilitated by experienced moderators

Resource materials and follow-up support

Join us to learn how to create more meaningful conversations about climate change in a supportive environment.
