Each year, the Collingwood Chamber recognizes local businesses and community leaders who demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation, and commitment to service. The Business Excellence Awards honour businesses of all sizes — from new ventures to established firms — as well as nonprofits, community-driven organizations, and exceptional individuals.
By participating, you help highlight the best of what Collingwood has to offer, celebrate success, and inspire others to reach higher.

Business Excellence Nomination Form
Award Categories
Small Business of the Year
Recognizes outstanding achievement in some or all of the following: Research & Development, Company Growth, Products & Services, Market Development, Sales & Marketing, Community Service with 1 to 10 staff members
Innovation of the Year
Recognizes the successful introduction of an idea, marketing campaign, or an initiative that has been proven to make a genuine difference or positive impact on an organization, a business or the community.
Customer Experience Award
Recognizes an individual who continuously raises customer service to new standards of excellence and is a role model for others in customer service.
New Business of the Year Award
Must be in business for a minimum of 1 year and less than 3 years. Recognizes outstanding achievement as a new business in some or all of the following: Research & Development, Company Growth, Products & Services, Market Development, Sales & Marketing, Community Service.
Professional Service Business of the Year Award
This business must exemplify professionalism and integrity. This category includes, but is not limited to, law, medical, dental, accounting, financial, insurance, real estate and other professional service providers that require an occupational license.
Creating / Manufacturing Award
Recognized for outstanding achievement in the making of goods or wares by manual labor or by machinery
Not For Profit Award
Recognizes a registered Not for Profit organization which has shown: a positive contribution to society, broadened education of their Service, Community Involvement, Promotes Volunteerism, Social & Community Advancements.
Large Business of the Year Award
Recognizes outstanding achievement in some or all of the following: Research & Development, Company Growth, Products & Services, Market Development, Sales & Marketing, Community Service with over 10 staff members
Community Involvement Award
This award recognizes a person or business that shows a strong commitment to “giving back” through volunteering/participation in community organizations and/or charitable events.
Collingwood Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award
An award will be presented to an outstanding business owner. Eligible recipients are an active member of the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce and are in good standing.
