In 2018, Leadercast will focus on that very concept. How do you lead yourself effectively? And how much more will those who follow you benefit from your leadership when you lead yourself well?

OUR LOCAL LIVE PANEL Larry Law HeadshotLARRY LAW, OWNER AND CEO OF LAW DEVELOPMENT, CRANBERRY GOLF RESORT AND LIVING WATER RESORT & SPA Our theme “The Call to Leadership – The Journey, celebrating success and failure in business” will be presented by Larry Law, Owner and CEO of Law Development, Cranberry Golf Resort and Living Water Resort & Spa. In 1992, Larry stumbled upon the former Cranberry Golf Resort on a family trip. It was love at first sight, and Larry acquired the property. In hindsight, it was indeed God’s calling. It was through those years of many memorable experiences with his family and friends at this property that inspired Larry to turn this beautiful and natural environment into a community. Aside from expanding and upgrading the resort in Collingwood, Larry, with the support of his wife, children, and the like-minded leaders and staff, sees his hospitality business as an opportunity to build a fun and caring community for his customers, staff and the locals. This has become the vision, mission and spiritual journey for his resorts to serve with Christ’s love.

Niru HeadshotNIRU SOMAYAJULA, PRESIDENT & CEO OF SENSOR TECHNOLOGY LTD Niru Somayajula is the President & CEO of Sensor Technology Ltd, a world leader in high-tech manufacturer of underwater sonar solutions employing over 35 people in Collingwood, Ontario. She joined the family business in 2007 and assumed the role of President & CEO in 2011 when she assembled a new management team and structured a buy-out program to acquire majority shareholdings. Currently Niru is in the process of building a new strategic plan to ensure long term viability and capitalize on current market conditions.

Niru believes in giving back to her community and has been a Board member for various local organizations including Elephant Thoughts, the Huronia Symphony (where she also played 2nd Violin), the Prasad Family Foundation, the Collingwood Skating club and others. She is also a recent addition to the board of the Innovators Alliance and the Sandbox Center for Shared Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Niru has her bachelors degree in GeoPhysics from the University of Western Ontario, and attended UofT for a masters in Mechanical Engineering.

Niru is married to a spirited Frenchman and has two young daughters Anouk (7) and Nora (5). She has a passion for photography and cooking and has recently become a budding triathlete. She completed three races last season has 3 races planned for this summer including an Olympic Distance race.

Fareed HeadshotFAREED M. AMIN, CAO TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD With more than 26 years of distinguished service in the public sector, Fareed has held progressively responsible positions in the Government of Ontario including Deputy Minister and Assistant Deputy Minister. He also served as Deputy City Manager at the City of Toronto with a staff of over 10,000, a capital budget of approximately $1B and an operating budget of $1.8B. Fareed was instrumental in implementing a number of transformational initiatives at the City of Toronto on customer service delivery. Fareed has an undergraduate degree in Applied Geography and Planning from the University of Guyana, a Certificate in Public Administration from the University of Toronto, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Queen’s University and a Certificate in Leadership from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

Jon GillhamJON GILLHAM, FOUNDER AND CEO OF ADBANK Jon Gillham Founder and CEO of several companies including Adbank Network a blockchain and digital advertising startup in Collingwood. His teams include 8 people locally and over 100 remote team members managing 6,000+ websites.
