CALL TO ARTISTS for: The 9th Annual Murray J. Clerkson Award

The 9th Annual Murray J. Clerkson Award The Murray J. Clerkson Committee is now accepting submissions for this year’s award. The award is presented to a talented emerging artist who resides in the South Georgian Bay region. The winner will receive a $1000 cash prize. The winner and four finalists will be featured in an exhibition of their work for the month of June at the BMFA Arts Centre.

Murray was a well known local artist, eccentric with a dramatic flair in his own art. Throughout his career, he strongly supported new and emerging artists by investing in their work and freely and positively commenting on their achievements. Entries will be accepted until Friday, April 20th at 5 pm. Go to the BMFA website for more information and the application or visit the BMFA Arts Centre located at 163 Hurontario St., Collingwood.
